Copilot with Decision Table

We are looking to create a copilot with some complicated logic.

Hoping to do this in a table so that we can easily add or change the logic as we go.

How would/could this work with copilot?

Would you have to do a power automate for each step/question?

There must be some very complicated bots out there.

How are these managed?

All the examples I can find are pretty simple.

Any thoughts welcome.

    Re: Copilot with Decision Table

    Hi @kg4

For this scenario, you can follow these steps to achieve your goal:

    1. Create a Table in Dataverse or Use an Environment Variable with JSON Payload:

      • Start by setting up a table in Dataverse that will store the necessary data. Alternatively, if the data is relatively small and static, you can store it in an environment variable as a JSON payload.
    2. Interact with the Dataverse Table in Power Automate Flow:

      • Create a Power Automate flow that reads data from the Dataverse table or the environment variable. This flow will handle the data retrieval and any necessary transformations.
    3. Implement Business Logic in Power Automate Flow:

      • Incorporate your business logic within the Power Automate flow. This could involve data processing, decision making, or other custom logic required for your specific scenario.
    4. Invoke Power Automate Flow from Copilot Studio Topic:

      • Finally, set up a topic in Copilot Studio that triggers the Power Automate flow. Ensure that the topic is configured to pass any necessary parameters to the flow and handle the responses appropriately.
