Error message on missing privilege when org is in Admin mode, eventhought it is disabled

I created a canvas app, which accesses Dataverse in a production environment. The users were able to access the app normally, but suddenly receive the following error message:

"User does not have required privileges (or role membership) to access the org when it is in admin mode"

I think this is referring to the environment admin mode, which is described here: Administration mode - Power Platform | Microsoft Docs

But I checked and the admin mode is disabled.

Apperently this error message only appears, when using the app on mobile and not on desktop?

Does anyone have an idea, what the problem could be and more importantly how to fix it?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Hello, @iburkart , You need to disable the Admin Mode in your Environment Settings.

Follow the instruction in this documentation:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/admin-mode#set-administration-mode

    Regards,

    Ahmed

Thanks @AhmedSalih but the Admin Mode was disabled all along. So that can't be the solution 😞

@iburkart, here how you can troubleshoot this. Enable the Admin Mode, Save, and then Disable and Save Again. Let your users delete PowerApps from the phones and reinstall it after you do the previous two steps.

    Regards,

    Ahmed

@AhmedSalih Thank you so much! I did what you suggested and the user reported that the error is now gone 🙂

Sadly the error reappeared. As I don't want to enable and disable the Admin Mode continuously, are there any more ideas on how to solve this problem?

It only appears when using the app on a mobile device.

@iburkart, That is strange it could be the mobile device operating system. I don't think it is the Admin Role. I would recommend that you open a support ticket with Microsoft. Do you know how to do that?

Thank you @AhmedSalih for the quick reply. I don't have the right to create the ticket I think. As far as I know, this has to be created by a global admin, right? But I will forward the suggestion.

@iburkart, if you are a System Admin in your Environment, you can open a ticket.
