Using HTTP with Entra ID connector action in Copilot Studio topic

I'm trying to use an HTTP with Entra ID (preauthorized) action in Copilot Studio but it results in the following error:

Error Message: Evaluating PowerFx expression resulted in error while invoking the connector : PVA.InvokeHttp failed: JsonReaderException '<' is an invalid start of a value. LineNumber: 1 | BytePositionInLine: 0. Error Code: ConnectorPowerFxError Conversation Id: 155bc02d-be5f-408f-aa17-a1bbfcb882f1 Time (UTC): 2025-11-20T09:48:21.332Z

The connection in the action is set up to use on-premise gateway. The same connection works in Power Automate but not in Copilot Studio directly. Any ideas?

This is both (well sort of expected) because CP and Power Automate do not run in the same context and do not require the same level of delegation permissions that CP does.

Can I ask how you are using the Connector? In a Tool / Agent Flow?

    hi Michael,

I'm using HTTP connector as a tool in the topic by going to Add a tool -> Connector -> HTTP with Entra ID (preauthorized). Then I create a simple GET request towards an on-premise URL:

I have a very similar problem:

I use the HTTP SharePoint Connector and try to obtain results from a SharePoint list. I have used the same connector from a Power Automate Flow which worked perfectly, but called from a topic in Copilot Studio I get a connectorPowerFxError trigger by a failed PVA.HttpRequest which provides a JsonReaderException.
