Hi all,
Is there an easy way to import datas from an excel file to dataverse choices list ?
Thank you
@Samixite ,
I don't know how familiar you are with PowerAutomate. But you can simply do it with something like this:
where the first action read the excel table where you have the values.
Then you'll iterate through all items and with Invoke an HTTP request you can insert values as choice values.
Find dynamics your env link in make.powerapps.com / session details / instance URL.
Hope it helps !
@gabibalaban : Many Thanks for your help. really appreciate.
Confirm I'm a totally "noob" with PowerAutomate ‌‌If you permit I give you more details about my need : I'm working on a Power Page solution where I have created a "Choices" object named "Country Choice"
I have all the countries listed in an Excel worksheet column and would like to import them in "Country Choice".
Thanks again 🙏
Hi @Samixite,
I would normally recommend using a Table for Countries since it's such a large list and there are other advantages of using lookups.
But if you're set on using a Choice, then I would recommend using the XrmToolBox and the CreateOptionSetsFromCSV tool. It is meant exactly for the purpose for creating global or local Choice (option set) columns with a lot of choices (options).
