Use SharePoint Search to search SP document library document contents

I'd like to be able to use the SharePoint search to search the contents of documents in my document library, but in a PowerApp because I do not want the actual documents (just a list of documents which contain the search term) made available to end users.

Is this possible?

Is there a different way to solve for this, perhaps outside of powerapps?

    Hi @mrw28 ,

    The main issue you have here is that the file name in searches in not Delegable, neither is the Search function, so it depends on the number of documents in the Library. To be honest, the search function in SharePoint is quite powerful and does the job perfectly well on any sized Library.

    Thanks @WarrenBelz . Agreed that the SharePoint search function would work well EXCEPT that I don't want the files themselves to be available to searchers, just some other metadata about the files.

    @mrw28 ,

    In that case, you can use equals or StartsWith in a Delegable manner in Power Apps, but Search is still not Delegable.
