Hello,

I have created new field TagSn text field in Account entity , and. I have 100 records with values in TagSn

No I have created same field (TagSn in child entity(Contact) ) and created mapping , and it is replicating data in Contact Entity.

But it is not replicating older data in child Entity

what is best way to replicate older data into child Entity?

Thanks,

I have the same question (0)

    Hi @Shafdev ,

There are a couple options I would usually utilize here.  My normal approach is to do the following:

    1. [Recommended] - Create Power Automate flow that will loop through the child entity and set the value of the field from the Parent entity.  This is the easiest and you can run it on demand...
    2. Export the data from parent and child to Excel and utilize vlookup or other approach to grab the parent value and put into Child record and re-import

    Hi @Shafdev ,

A couple more things.  I would normally not duplicate the field down to the child entity because if the value changes on the parent it is not going to change it on the child unless you setup another Power Automate flow that is triggered on the change of that field and then replicate to the child entity...

You can view the value of the parent's entity in the following ways on the child entity (without duplicating the field):

    1. Show the parent's field in views.  You can add the parent fields by utilizing the "Related" tab when adding fields to views.
    2. You can utilize a Quick View form to see the parent's fields on the Child form.

Just a couple things if interested to not have to replicate data...
