Office365Users.SearchUser - Will collections work

Hi,

I am populating a dropdown in Powerapps with JobTitle Assistant Director. I have around 2300 users. I am able to successfully retrieve some users whose JobTitle is Assistant Director from the top:999 by using the below query.

Filter(Office365Users.SearchUser({searchTerm:"", top:999}), JobTitle = "Assistant Director").DisplayName

I updated the delegetable settings to 2000, still it queries only 999. Once i update the top to 2000 or 1000, it throws 404 error

Any workaround would be helpful

Can you try to update the query to:

Filter(Office365Users.SearchUser(), JobTitle = "Assistant Director").DisplayName

This will look in all the records while Top:999 was restricting the first 999 records from the Office365 connection. You can remove searchTerm if that is not required.

Hi @yashag2255 ,

Yes. I already tried the below query. I am empty results always.
Hence , I updated the query to include top:999, it is atleast querying the 999 records and returning results.

Hence planned to move to collection, assuming delegation is an issue here. Also updated the delegation settings count to 2000 but its still the case.

Hi @Kumar9024021 ,

The reason why you met this problem is that 999 is Office365Users.SearchUser function's limit, not delegation problem.

Changing delegateable limit is useless.

The 999 is the maximum value of user records retrieved from Office365Users.SearchUser() function at once. The user @JonFrost has faced same issue with you, please check the response from Microsoft Employee @dinusc within the following thread:

As an alternative solution, you could consider take a try to pre-load your user records in batches (in batches <900). Please check and see if the following blog would help in your scenario:
