Hello guys

 

I'm back to PowerPlatform / M365 environment after a while and I would say I am surprised about somethings that seems to stay with no change 😅

 

Consider a huge organization that move forward to automate and digitalize most of their "manual" processes using PowerPlatform.

IT guys are let's say kind of classic or conservative with the way they take care of security, accounts etc. So they provides some specific accounts as "service" accounts (old but gold). This way we can affirm enterprise key processes are managed by the company, noy by individuals users (who can left the company, etc)

 

The point is, if we need to reset a password due to security policies, or even is some IT admin user is leaving the company ALL CONNECTIONS of our powerapps will need to be (re)published with the new login after password reset.

 

Any suggestion here? Specific powershell or process to support these type of situation?

I was very surprised since we did not find anyone (apparently) facing this challenge...

    Maybe your org has a policy to reset the token along with the account password.

    Should I guess that's a problem in our tenant? Each time we reset a password we need to go and republish all flow connections set with the account we have reset...

    Account password change shouldn't be an issue if the flows are running. Power Apps I haven't seen an issue. 

     

    The token doesn't expire until 90 days by default.
