Hello, Community,

I have been facing with this problem of showing "The record hasn't been created yet. To enable file upload, create this record" in form view. However, the record exists in the table view.
What I would like to do is that I want to copy the link address from the file and in order to get the files downloaded via the app, using this link. However, the record shows nothing in form view and I could not get that link.
I have attached the screenshots of records in table view and the form view below.

Thanks, and any suggestions are welcomed.

Your screenshot is of the Form Designer - the designer does not show data. To see the Form and data either create a Model Driven App (or canvas app) which includes the table and form, or from the Table go into Edit and then ff the menu New row->New Row using form (or to edit an existing record select 1 row and then "Edit row using form" command menu).

Only once the form is saved will the File Upload button become active.

Once the record is created you can also upload or get an already uploaded file via code https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-apps/developer/data-platform/file-column-data?tabs=sdk

Microsoft seems to make everything as complicated as possible.

Can somebody break this down into simple steps for me as I have been given the task of creating a website and have been used to High Level and Wordpress for making websites which is soooooo much easier.

I just want people to be able to upload documents via a form on a website and get the error:

"This record hasn't been created yet. To enable file upload, create this record."

I have full admin rights, but not sure how to use Microsoft products (I am an Apple user), but I am tech savvy.

    Hi @CU15080958-3,

The Screenshot which you have provided is a Create NEW record form.

    How to identify old record,

    1. Create Model Driven APP
    2. Add the table
    3. Click New Button
    4. In the URL you cannot see ID values
    5. Now Input Values and Save the Record and validate the URL, you can see the ID (which means record created)

for Attachments and all the Attachment need to store in table against a record, so we need the record to be in created state to attach the document

Where do I complete step 1.

Where is that option as there seems to be 3 or 4 different apps that do almost identical things.
