Hello,
I built an Excel spreadsheet (save on my OneDrive for Biz to be a data source for a PowerApp. the Excel spreadsheet was converted to a Table and Table has been named. This is very similar to the power app example in MS Learn - the FlooringEstimator example. My challenges are: 1) the PowerApp is not pulling Images into the app from URLs I have in the Excel data source and 2) I am not able to Edit the entires within the Power App. When I try I get the following message - "The requested data source is locked. Server Response: Table1 failed. Cannot write file to filesource. File is being locked." I am assuming I have some how locked the Excel file (permissions issues) but can't figure out what I've done. any suggestions are appreacited.
This means that you have the spreadsheet open somewhere, which is locking the spreadsheet
Excel is a poor choice for app data because a single person can only use it. And you can't use the spreadsheet if the app is open.
I recommend choosing a different source for you app data such as a SharePoint list
Thank you @jlindstrom . That works perfect.
Thanks @CarolinaJC @if that worked please mark it a solution so other people can find it
