Generative AI answers not triggering subsequent nodes in topic

I have a topic with the response mode: generated. Basically, it calls a flow which works fine... I get the AI generated answer from the output of the flow... however, subsequent nodes in the topic are never fired, no matter what I do. This includes topic management. It seems like I should be able to do a generated answer and then do other things, surely? What if I want to give a generated answer and then ask a question? I can't do that??

You can call an action directly from a topic - just use the classic AI feature (not the generative preview) and it will auto fill the input based on the detected entities

Here I have a topic to create a ticket in servicenow that will auto fill the input based on the recognize entities, it will ask user question if some inputs are missing

If you are using the built-in Conversational Boosting node, you can simply use the Add Node option to perform any action you need after the response.
However, if you are attempting an alternate approach, I will need more details to better understand the issue.

Ok, it turns out my copilot was not triggering my topic, but it was triggering the action directly.

Can I have a topic that calls the action with the "dynamically fill the input with the best option" or not?
