PowerApp - No Internet Connection at Client

Hi,

We're currently using InfoPath 2013 (Designer/Filler) and it's OK for our purposes.  One of the main challenges we have is at our client we're offline, by design, based on what we do professionally (primarily offline).  There are certain portions of what we do online although those functions are outside our InfoPath 2013 platform.

Similar to InfoPath 2013, is there a way to build a PowerApp that pulls data down somewhere locally on our tablet (Windows 10-based), stays local, until we force the push at some point?  Not trying to ask a remedial question but it's great the way InfoPath does it, for our purposes, and simply trying to assess if there a way to run it a similar way with PowerApps.

Thanks for any insight.

This may be able to help you:

It does need at least connectivity once to be able to download the app and to refresh authentication/authorization, as well as to push the data back, but may be a starting point and would be interesting to learn more about your scenario specifically.

Thanks!!  We're going to check this out.  Appreciate your time and yes, we will be connecting at least once before we use the PowerApp to pull-down the values, etc.

    Hey ez1138,

PowerApps is just taking its first steps toward supporting offlne scenarios. If your requirements for offline autonomy are high, you may also want to investigate a different alternative that already has all the offline functionality built in. Formotus is a third-party solution by one of the inventors of InfoPath, and robust offline functionality is a cornerstone. (Disclosure: Yes, I work there.) Check it out >>

    Good luck!

    Glen
