Upgrading Powerapps

Hi,

I have been using powerapps for a few months and had a few questions. First I have been using the free version and i was wondering if there is a paid version with more features like being able to edit data forms, selecting multiple items in a data form, etc. I have looked at the pricing tab but it looks like it adds more flows and more connectivity but i didnt see it anything else. Secondly when deploying my app, will my employees be able to create a free account in powerapps so they can use my app or will i need to purchase user accounts for each person using the apps?

Thanks for the help.

    Hi @Anonymous,

    1. Both PowerApps Plan 2 Trial and PowerApps Community Plan are free, may I know which one that you are using? These 2 plans are created for different purposes:

PowerApps Plan 2 Trial gives you PowerApps Plan 2 for 30 days. This is meant for trying out PowerApps, Common Data Service, and Microsoft Flow. Once your trial expires, you can purchase a plan. If you are already using PowerApps with Office 365 or Dynamics 365, this is the right plan to try out the premium functionalities of PowerApps, which are available with PowerApps Plan 2.

PowerApps Community Plan gives you access to PowerApps premium functionalities, Common Data Service, and Microsoft Flow for individual use. This plan is primarily meant for learning purposes or creating business solutions to be distributed for AppSource Test Drive. This plan is perpetually available, but only for learning and building your skills on PowerApps, Common Data Services, and Microsoft Flow.

With PowerApps Community Plan, you can only have one individual environment, which is created for you by PowerApps when you sign up for the Community Plan. You can't share apps, flows, connections, etc. with any other users of your tenant. You also can't add any other user as an environment admin or maker, or to the database roles from the admin center. Creating a database with the Common Data Service is currently unavailable in an individual environment, and will be available again soon. If you had created a database earlier, then you can continue using it without any issues. You can only sign up with your work or school account

    2. You can mix and match PowerApps licenses, and licenses that include PowerApps capabilities, across the users in your organization. For example, if there are 100 users in your organization, 50 may be licensed with Office 365, 20 with Dynamics plans, 25 with PowerApps Plan 1, and 5 with PowerApps Plan 2. Compare the features in each plan to choose the mix that meets your team’s or organization’s needs.

    Regards,

    Mona
