Hi guys,

I have the following usecase. I have a Training which has Trainees.

A training also has Extra Costs. On adding a Extra Cost to a Training, I have to chose for which Trainees this cost has to be applied.

As you can see in the screenshots:

  • Training has 2 Trainees

On adding a Extra Costs:

  • I can choose out of all Trainees

How could I restrict the list of Trainees which i can choose from to only show the Trainees linked to the Parent Training?

Best Regards,

Anthony

    Hello @Anthony_Dob,

    Hope its an N:N Relationship entity, if yes then you need to write JS, please find my blog below for your reference.

    Hi @Anthony_Dob ,

    You might want to look at creating a custom intersect table so you create a relationship like the following:

    Training --- 1:N ---> Training Trainee <---N:1----Trainee

    In this situation you could utilize the related filter on your lookup to restrict to ones related to the training in the configuration of the lookup field and it will only show the Training Trainee records related to the Training.

    This type of configuration with the "Training Trainee" table level would allow additional metadata that might be needed (i.e. status - did they attend or not, in person vs virtual, etc.).
