Email Format from Onsite Premesis SQL Server Connector

Hi 

 

Very new so any help will be appreciated.  I have a connector to SQL Server and have added a table to my environment.  I have a column that is meant to collect email addresses.  How do I format this (or specify the data type) to Email?  The only options I get is Text or Rich Text.

    I am sorry I forgot to mention this is a model driven app not a canvas app.
