Hi
Have created a new Entiry, which has a lookup to another table, eg: Client
When I create an app/screen, it wont let me do a Filter for Client. If I try Filter by Client.ClientName, I also get an error.
Is there a workaround for this?
Hi, I couldn't even get lookups to work. Were you able to edit the lookup column in Excel?
No - havent tried in Excel.
Tried what I would expect is a simple user journey.
Filtering in this way does not work as you cannot compare 2 "Objects" (Company). And you cannot compare Company.CompanyName as it also has error
I couldn't get it to work in PowerApps either, frankly I am disappointed by data structure in CDM so far. Seems like SharePoint lists by another name. But I have ranted about that in other posts...
Hello
Thank you for your feedback. Can you please share the lookup field name on the custom Person entity and the title field name on the custom Company entity? Can you also share the filter expression you tried on the Person gallery?
I have a similar issue, I have 2 entities in my CDS, the entity 1 has lookups on the entity 2. In my app I insert the gallery and I use the entity 1 as my data source, I want to show the information in those lookups, but I can't see them. I can show any type of entry (Address, DateTime, Picklist...) but lookups.
