PCF parameter type bug

I created a PCF component with group type of MultiSelectOptionSet and SingleLine.Text.

 

When I attach it to a text field the parameter.type returns MultiSelectOptionSet. This is incorrect.

    What's throwing me off is that there is a disparity between how the sandbox and tenant handles the Type property. I had to add code to handle both environments.

    How about parameter.attributes.Type? Is that one different?
