Hi Community

I have a strange issue in my apps. I have

App A including table A and system dashboard A that is defined on table A. Dashboard A is restricted to security role A.
App B including a dashboard B (PowerBI Report). Dashboard B is restricted to security role B.

User has access to App A (through security role A), dashboard A and table A but has no access to App B nor dashboard B (doesn't have security role B).
When users tries to open a link to dashboard B, he is automatically redirected to dashboard A in app A. Why?

Btw. dashboard A has the option "use as fall back form" deactivated

Does anybody know about such issues with dashboards in model driven apps?
This behaviour is very misleading for the user.

Thank you for your recomendations

Does the user/role have a default Form etc though? That's not the same thing as fallback.

As far as I know the default form is a thing on **tables** where you restrict forms to security roles. But in this case, there is no table but just the dashboard. How would I configure such a thing in that case?

Btw, I could have framed the question broader:
Why does a url from app B open app A for a user that lacks security role from app B? For tables, it will show an error message that it lacks permissions, but on the left side there is the navigation menu from App A!

Based on your question, i feel there is some Security Role MisMatch will be available. The Same way make sure POWER BI shared to the Respective Users who is accessing the APP B and Dashboard B.

If Security role is same then clear Cache and try again.

    Hi @Ram Prakash
The user in question does NOT have proper security role for App B and Dashbaord B but he recieved a Link on those. The expected behevior would be an error message displaying that he lacks permission, but instead the link redirects to another app in the same environment on a different dahsboard (on which he has the proper permissions). This is very misleading behivor.
