I have a copilot that has 2 dataverse tables as knowledge. One of the tables have URLs from Microsoft Learn - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/training/modules/introduction-power-platform/1-introduction as a column value
Can I extract this value and use it in Generative AI ?
I have the same question (0)

    Hi  ,

Thank you for choosing Microsoft Community.

In general, Yes, you can extract the URLs from your Dataverse tables and use them in Generative AI. By incorporating these URLs, you can provide users with direct access to relevant learning modules from Microsoft Learn, enhancing the overall user experience.  Just ensure that you follow any usage guidelines provided by Microsoft Learn to respect their content policies.

If you need help with the technical steps to extract and utilize these URLs, feel free to ask!
If this fixes the issue, please mark as resolved to help others with find it.

    Happy to help

Currently , using the dataverse knowlege can provide you response based on the data values that are available in the tables.
But if you store the links, copilot cannot navigate to that link and fetch the data for response which is not possible.

Only if the knowledge source is specified with the Microsoft Learn links, it will be considered. But there are restrictions to the number of External Sites that can be used.

Since you have multiple URLs, i would suggest you to use Bing Custom Search. You can configure different pages into Bing Custom search as we needed. Configure multiple search and Get the configuration id of the each Bing custom search.

Now you can use this knowledge by specifying them inside Bing Custom search. Instead of hardcoding the configuration Id, you can use formula to pass different configuration ids based on conditions. This will allow the copilot to refer to different links based on conditions.

Screenshot illustrating the steps needed to leverage Bing Custom Search on a Create generative answers node in a topic.

    Thanks.
