Trying to import data from a desktop Access table into a PowerApps 'new entity.' Stumbled into importing the Access table data via a desktop gateway, mapping the data, etc.
However, would like to clean up the data in Excel and re-import. The 'export an Excel template, copy paste the data, then import' method consistently fails; apparently there is some issue importing"Owning Business Unit;" which, by the way, is null in the source Excel template file.
So, turned attention to trying the "Open in Excel" method to import data.
However, every time I attempt to open the entity in "Open in Excel" I get a message that indicates "Your entity has been successfully opened in Excel, please check your downloads."
However, I cannot find the referenced Excel file.
Would appreciate suggestions on where to look.
Thanks for the guidance.
After re-starting browser, the Excel download worked as expected.
Hi @Bubba,
In default, when you click "Open in Excel" option within a CDS entity to import data, the corresponding Excel file would be opened automatically.
In addition, in default, the Excel file would be downloaded into the Downloads folder (the default download path of browser) of your computer as below:
If you have customized the Download path for your Browser, you should go to your custom Download path to find the Excel file.
Best regards,
Kris
