Hi Power Apps Community,

I would like to signal an issue on Power Apps when using Edge/Internet Explorer

Scenario:

User want to upload a picture through the App that is posted in One Drive Folder.

It will send "an unknown error occurs"

But if using on Google Chrome or the app in the phone it works perfectly.

I was able to reproduce the error on different computer.

    Hi @Romain_PH ,

    Could you please share a bit more about your scenario?

    Which control do you use to upload your picture? "Add Picture" control or Camera control?

    Further, do you mean that the error message would show up when you upload picture into your app?

    Based on the issue that you mentioned, I have made a test on my side (test with "Add Picture" control or Camera control), and don't have the issue that you mentioned.

    Please consider clear cache of your IE and Edge browser, then try your app again, check if the issue is solved. Also please consider take a try to open your browser in incognito mode, check if the issue is solved.

    In addition, please also consider take a try to turn on the "Improved app rendering (final validation)" option within Advanced setting of App settings of your app, then check if the issue is fixed.

    Best regards,

    Hi Kris,

    The control use is "Add Picture".

    The error message shows when trying to Patch the Picture into the database (which is an excel file on onedrive).

    Cache inlcuindg cookies and history have been cleared.

    Same issue in incognito mod

    App rendering is on

    That is the code yuse to patch the picture in Database:

    Patch(
    SitePhotos,Defaults(SitePhotos),
    {
    PhotoId: Text(CountRows(SitePhotos)+1),
    Photo: AddMediaButton2.Media,
    ID_Event: FindingsGallery.Selected.ID_Event
    }
    )

    I repeat this works in the mobile app and on google chrome without problem

    Hi @Romain_PH ,

    Have you taken a try to re-create a new app?

    Currently, I could not reproduce your issue on my side. Please consider take a try with the following formula:

    Collect(
     SitePhotos,
     {
     PhotoId: Text(CountRows(SitePhotos)+1),
     Photo: AddMediaButton2.Media,
     ID_Event: FindingsGallery.Selected.ID_Event
     }
    )

    If the issue still exists, please consider capture the Session ID when you run your app in Edge browser or IE browser, then submit an assisted support ticket along with the captured Session ID through the following link:

    https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/support/pro

    More details about capturing Session ID for a canvas app, please check the following article:

    I try on another app the same issue happen.
    You are not recreating the scenario i have if you are using collect.
    The collect function works it seems it's the "Patch" function that make an error in IE and Edge.
    I am trying to patch picture on a Data Source in Excel not recording a new item in a PowerApps collection.
    Please try with the patch function and patch the picture on a datasource behind not a collection.

    As well I cannot submit yet a ticket to your IT support as my IT have restricted such access to IT admin only.

    As well PowerApps work best in the Mozilla Firefox.

    With IE and Edge the picture take really long time to show up sometimes don't even show up.

    Would be good that PowerApps team and IE/Edge team have a meeting together to see how they could improve the performance and User Experience throught the Microsoft Browser
