Is it possible to use the new Formula column as an instant Rollup?
if yes how?
Hi @jja,
Currently rollups are not supported, but should be in the future. More details mentioned in the blog post here.

i dont understand why it is so hard for these well paid programmers to add a simple essential feature in this "full feature database" to just let me conditionally and relational sum my column 😡
@bugescape, I'm sure adding the feature itself isn't the complex part, but to ensure it can perform with acceptable response time when retrieving a large number of rows (e.g. Views) is more challenging. That is probably why classic rollup columns updated values asynchronously at an hourly or more interval.
ChatGPT said that I can use power automate to roll up a column as soon as it got updated, I hope this is true and perform well? I dont have a lot of data, just using it as a project management system for a 20 people company
@bugescape
I think better solution would be to install power platform workflow tools and it has a feature to instantly recalculate rollup. I made this approach as power automate seemed for me too complicated.
I can confirm this works - i have it launched on production environments
Simply donwload it and install as a solution
Then folow these steps
