common data model relationship diagram

Hi, 

   I saw this chart Common Data Model - Common Data Model | Microsoft Learn

Where is the relationship diagram between the entities such as 1-to-many, many-to-many...etc?

 

is it necessary to understand the relationships between the entities to extend or customize them?

    Microsoft has exposed the full data model (as part of the Common Data Model) here:  https://microsoft.github.io/CDM/SchemaViz.html?initialManifest=standards.manifest.cdm.json&simpleChrome=true 

     

    Also if you install the "Core" tables in a Dataverse environment you can view the relationships right from Dataverse or even bring the model into something like Power BI to visualize the relationships (1:N, N:1, etc.)
