Flows to download a file created in OneDrive

I have a grid which displays hundreds of records. I have a download button which calls a flow and passes some data.

That flow gets the passed data and creates a file in my OneDrive for business. Is there any way to download the file automatically to user's browser?

    Hi @Nanjundan,

    No, I don't think currenty this is achieveable.

    Under Microsoft Flow, there is no dynamic content available to get the file download link from OneDrive-> Create File action, further, there is also no proper action available under Microsoft Flow to send information back to the Browser (or to the PowerApps client) from Microsoft Flow.

    Besides, within PowerApps, currently it is only available to connect to Excel Table for the OneDrive for Business connection, and there is no fucntion provided for this connection.

    The only possible way that I could share is through custom API, for OneDrive for Business, it should be Microsoft Graph, check the DriveItem resource for more information:

    There is download item contents Task available.

    In addition, you may also submit this as an idea, to enable the OneDrive "Download" function directly within PowerApps.

    @v-micsh-msft

    Will flows return true/false based on its successful run? So that i can call 'Launch(file_link)' in PowerApps once the flow ran successfully

    Hi @Nanjundan,

    No, at least currently it is not available for PowerApps to get 'feedback' from Microsoft Flow.

    The flow running results could be found under Flow running details, but within PowerApps, there is no proper way that I am aware of.

    Regards,

    Michael
