Unable to share app to guest users

I've tried to follow How to share a canvas app with a guest user instructions and I have been successful at sharing it with one guest user, However, have been unable to duplicate my success with additional guest users. They are getting into looping sign in requests for MS account credentials and SharePoint OR they are getting the error in the attachment I am uploading. Its frustrating and difficult to troubleshoot because I can't even predictably recreate the same error. What's more, I've tried going through every admin screen I can find to compare the Guest User That Works with the Guest User That Doesn't Work and can't find anything different. Please help. Uploading one of the error messages. Thanks in advance. Kay

    Hi,

     

    Looking at the error it appears to be an Unauthorized Access error that is preventing this user from getting access. There's a lot of things it could be including a restriction on the guest users side of things but it is very hard to tell just off of the information in your post here. Given the limited information I would just double check your external user restrictions and if those might be causing this issue. Otherwise my next suggestion would just be to open a ticket with Microsoft support. I'll include a link below if you would like to go down that route.

    Hi Alex,

    Thanks for your response. I did submit a support request and was able to get it to work with his help. But to get it to work we had to go into the app itself and refresh the data connections, resave and republish the app. I'm not finding any documentation that tells you this is a required step. The connections do not have a share option, but clearly the connections were not 'implicilty' shared when I shared the app. The documentation does not tell you what to do in this case. so I was stuck. Refresh, resave, and republish was the solution.
