Hello, is it possible to create a form field similar to an excel data validation cell that will allow my users to select a choice from the list, or type in their own choice?

Yes, the Combobox is the control that provides this ability.

@RandyHayes, do you mean they can just search the list of items? For some reason I cannot get my combo box to accept text input.
Make sure you have set the "Allow Searching" property of the combobox to true.
