Problem with item editing, instead of editting through "edit form" it creates NEW item

Hello all,

I've encountered a problem where a new item is created after form submitting. Form mode is set to edit by default, data cards are set to default as "Gallery6.Selected.Unit", which is fine.

in the end, I have "Update form button" with control as:

So I don't know what else can be done, last week I've encountered Patch () function, maybe I should try that?

Or is there a substitude for SubmitingForm () function, which I can use?

Please help and ask if I should provide more info - it is no problem!

Hi again,
additional information:
Perhaps if these column values were "empty" when creating the item in the first place, then after editing it creates NEW item automatically when submitting the "EDIT" form?

all three above are actually supposed to be the same item!
database: Sharepoint list
