Filtering column items in Sharepoint list that appear in dropdown box.

I've only seen discussion around this for galleries.

I've a form in a Power App where I want one of the datacards to be a dropdown box. This box would show some of the items from a sharepoint list column, but not all of them. I either want to filter by those that contain '(M)' at the end of their name in the 'Project_name' column or those that have 'Presentation' listed under the 'Category' column. (in theory either filter should produce the same dropdown options.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've no idea how to filter a dropdown box. All I've done so far is select the 'Item' and 'Value' data in Powerapps to point to this list and column.

Thanks!

    Hi @Mojpage ,

    If you want to fetch data of a single line of text column (example Title column) in a dropdown then you can put something like below in Items property of dropdown control -

    Distinct(Filter(Holidays,"(M)" in Title || Category.Value = "Presentation"), Title)

    If you want to filter options in a choice field then you can use below formula -

    Filter(Choices(Holidays.ColumnName), "(M)" in Value)

    This was a huge help, thank you. For anyone wanting to follow what I put (and relate it to the detail shown in my screen shot. I wrote

    Distinct(Filter(_Projects,"(M)" in Project_name), Project_name)

    Where '_Projects' is the Sharepoint list name.

    Many thanks!
