Hi,
I am trying to create a composite unique key which is a combination of multiple columns. However the number of columns and length of columns does not support me creating the key. Is there a way for me to create a busines rule stating that a combination of columns should always be unique or can i generate a unique id based on the combination of those columns.
Thanks,
Shiva M
Hi @v-shimud ,
Did you mean that you cannot use GUID function to create this key?
It is recommended to restrict the data as Unique from the data source side.
If you would perfer to add data validation through PowerApps, check the following best practises first:
A few best practices in Data Validation
Basically, you should add a check formula with the Disabled property of the submit button, once the entered string matches the needs, then make the button enable, also providing a reminding notes would be better.

Michael
Thanks Michael,
Do i have to create a canvas app for writing functions. Because for our scenario we are building model driven app.
Are functions supported in model-driven apps?
