I have created a PowerApps application in PowerApps for MS Teams and would like to export the application to the stand-alone PowerApps environment.
I signed up for a free PowerApps Developer account and environment. I am able to export the application from teams as a zip file but when I attempt to import the application into the stand-alone environment, I receive a generic error message: "Something went wrong. Please try again later."
When I select the zip file to upload, a few seconds later I receive the error message. I don't get to the point where I can select the "Import" button. The zip file contains the application and all dependencies (Dataverse for Teams tables).
I have also tried signing up for a free Power Apps Plan 2 trial license and creating a brand new blank environment. I have Environment Maker permissions to this environment. I receive the same error when attempting to import the application.
Any idea what could be causing this error or how to troubleshoot further?
If your app uses Dataverse for Teams tables then you won't be able to import it into a regular environment. It requires the specific version of Dataverse that is included inside a Teams environment. The Dataverse for Teams environment can be upgraded to a full Dataverse environment. Once you do that you would be able to export/import the application. Here's the documentation on how to upgrade the environment to full Dataverse. Doing that will have license implications.
