I start with a basic list form and make some basic changes (e.g. cascading dropdowns) in PA. No errors. Preview looks right. I publish it but the actual list form never seems to update - it's still the un-altered original.
In List settings > Form settings "Use custom form" is selected, and under Versions it shows the one I just saved and published, but the actual form in SharePoint still looks unchanged.
Is there something I am missing?
Hi @Anonymous ,
It seems that your customized form in SharePoint isn’t reflecting the changes you made in Power Apps. Let’s troubleshoot this:
Publish Changes: First, ensure that you’ve published the changes to your Power Apps customized list form. Sometimes, forgetting to publish can cause discrepancies. Double-check that you’ve published the latest version of your form1.
Clear Browser Cache: Clear your browser cache and cookies (for “All time”). Then, sign in to your SharePoint list and try accessing your custom form again. Cached data might prevent the updated form from loading correctly2.
Try Different Browsers: If the issue persists, try accessing your custom form using different browsers. Sometimes browser-specific issues affect how forms display in SharePoint3.
Hopefully, one of these steps will help resolve the issue.
Unfortunately, it is published, as I indicated in my OP. Changing browsers or clearing cache would both accomplish the same thing, and in either case the result was the same - no change.
Let’s explore a few more troubleshooting steps:
Check Permissions: Ensure that you have the necessary permissions to modify the list form. Sometimes, permission issues can prevent changes from being applied.
Recreate the Form: Try recreating the customized form from scratch. Create a new form in Power Apps, make your desired changes, and then publish it. Sometimes, starting fresh can resolve hidden issues.
Inspect Form Elements: Inspect the form elements in Power Apps. Make sure that the controls (such as dropdowns) are correctly bound to the SharePoint list columns. Incorrect bindings can cause issues.
Test in a Different Environment: If possible, test the form in a different SharePoint environment (e.g., a different site collection or subsite). This can help determine if the issue is specific to your current environment.
Review Form Logic: If you’ve added any custom logic (such as rules or formulas) to the form, review it carefully. Sometimes, unexpected logic can interfere with form rendering.
Contact Support: If none of the above steps work, consider reaching out to Microsoft support. They can assist with deeper troubleshooting and identify any platform-specific issues.
Remember to document any changes you make during troubleshooting. Hopefully, one of these steps will help resolve the issue! 😊
