Gallery DisplayMode issue

Hi,

I've a PowerApp with a Gallery wit different destinations based on a data source located in a SharePoint list.

For security reasons, users shouldn't be able to edit the list so the permits for them are "only view".

The issue is that, in PowerApps, if I set DisplayMode to "View" they will not be able to select any Item and navigate to the next screen.

If I set DisplayMode to "Edit" they will get an error informing that they don't have the correct permits.

How would you solve this considering that I need that users will only have View permits in the list?

Thanks a lot

    If you already have the groups created to see if they are admin or not, I would do something like:

    If(IsBlank(LookUp(Group,mail = User().Email)) = true, DisplayMode.View, DisplayMode.Edit)

    So, if the user is Admin, it shows the form in Edit Mode, if the user is an regular user, it shows in View Mode.

    Thanks for your reply, @Nogueira1306

    The next screen after the gallery is a view form so that the users will not be able to edit any data.

    But the issue is, if I set the gallery DisplayMode to View they won't be able to select any item.

    What I need is to set the SharePoint List to view mode. If I do that, users will get an error when landing to the gallery page.

    Hi @Pipo,

    It's a contradictory demand.

    You want to make the end users have only view permission but you want them to be able to select gallery item in a view form, right?

    This is very contradictory. The View only permission could make the list read-only for end users, but you must assign them edit role if you want them to be able to select the Gallery items.
