Hi yall!
I was wondering if there's a way to open a SharePoint document (image, pdf, ppt, etc) from power apps in a new tab so the user can download it
I was trying with the function Launch(thisitem.access route) and didn't work
Thanks in advance!
@Jose_LuisA
Yes, the Launch function is what you want. That will bring up the document in a new tab.
What issues are you having with the launch?
I'm trying to use the OnSelect property of a button to run this with this function Launch(ThisItem.CompleteAccessRoute) but then this happens:
Since you are referencing ThisItem - then I assume this is all in a Gallery!?
If so, then what datasource is the Items property of the gallery based on?
What is CompleteAccessRoute in the datasource?
@Jose_LuisA So you are using a DocumentLibrary? A SharePoint Record should have a property named something like "Link to Element". Thats the property you want to use.
Launch(ThisItem.'Link to Element')
(Could be that the proeprty is called differntly in english....but should start with Link to....)
Please click Accept as solution if my post helped you solve your issue. This will help others find it more readily. It also closes the item. If the content was useful in other ways, please consider giving it Thumbs Up.
So, on the OnSelect property of this button Im using the Launch function
Launch(ThisItem.CompleteAccessRoute)
But then this happen
@Jose_LuisA Have you seen my Post above?
Yes, but if you could provide answers to my last reply - that would be helpful.
