Multistep Form Metadata and Basic Form Metadata for subgrids no longer works correctly

(0) ShareShare

Posted on by
For years we have been using Multistep Form Metadata for subgrids to add the ability for users to create/edit related records in Power Pages. However, the buttons no longer appear by the subgrid in the portals. Other values like overriding column headers in the metadata record are still rendering correctly in the Form Step, but the buttons no longer appear.

This affects ALL users, including Admins, on all sites, in all environments, across different tenants, and seems to have just begun in the last few days. Basic Form Metadata for subgrids seems to be affected as well.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

Just came looking for anyone else with this issue after a colleague was experiencing this today.

Ours is only affecting one UAT environment at the moment and whilst there were some MS portal solution updates yesterday, our DEV environment had the same updates so strange that is not also affected.

We've just raised a MS ticket now we know it's not just us and are pretty confident it is at their end.

Not the original poster (sorry to hijack, but adding in case the info helps), but I have 2 clients with this issue now, both using Portals version 9.7.2.5

One using Enhanced Data model, and one still on the Standard Data model

My site version just rolled back to Portals 9.7.1.38.

    Anyone else noticed this?

Microsoft has confirmed that there are issues with recent updates, they are rolling back the released Portals.

if your issue doesn't get solved today, please raise a support ticket with Microsoft.

They are already aware of these threads, you can mention the history here / reference my name in the ticket and say that I was in touch with the product team.
