Edit button missing for a custom security role

Dear Power Users,

I'm missing the the Edit button from the top menu in the model driven app for users that are assigned with a custom security role.

The role has adequate permission set. If user clicks on a record's primary column name link, it will get in edit (update) form for the selected record and will be able to make modifications and save them.

The role is build on top of App Opener role and here is how the permissions are set for the specific entity:

Please note that I'm experiencing the same behavior for multiple entities.

Do you have any idea what is the cause of this and how to solve it?

Regards,

Milos

    Hi @Milosh ,

    Couple things here...

    1.  Has anyone modified the ribbon?

    2.  Have you tried accessing with System Administrator role to see if it shows up?

    Hi @dpoggemann,
    Thank you for your interest!
    1. No, the ribbon was never modified.
    2. Users with System Administrator role can see edit button.
    Regards,

    Milos

    Hi @Milosh

Some other things to try and if these don't work, would love to do a teams screen share to see if we can figure this out.

    1. Does the record show edit if the user is the owner of the record and just not if the record is owned by a user that is is the same or child business unit?
    2. Do you have modern business units enabled?
    3. Do you have Access Teams setup where the user is part of an Access Team that has visibility to the record with the Access Team Profile but not edit?

Please direct message me and provide me your email if you would like to jump on a screen share to walk through and see if we can see the issue together if nothing above is helpful.

    Hi @dpoggemann ,

I found what was causing the missing Edit button.

The security role must have Bulk Edit privilege on the Organization Level:

The Bulk Edit privilege was None in my case.

Now I can see Edit buttons in all views of my entities.

    Regards,

    Milos
