How to only show one colunm after using filter function?

Hello,

In my app, I would like to have items of an other datasource ("Missions(All)S") than the one the apps is based on. And I want to show in my combobox only the colunm "Nom mission" of the missions that have "Statut mission"=Active.

I tried the formula below but i have the error message "your name isn't valid. The identifier is not valid" :

ShowColumns(Filter('Missions (all)S",'Statut mission'="Active"),"cr500_nommission")

Do you know how to make this work ? Or is there an other way ?

I am right now using one data source with only have the missions with an active statut which is related to a bigger one that have all the missions.

At your disposal if you need further informations.

Ludo

    ShowColumns(
     Filter(
     "Missions(All)S", 'Statut mission'= "Active"
     ), 'cr500,nommission'
    )

In the name of the column to show, use single quotes instead of double quotes.  If the data source is a SharePoint list, make sure you use the original name of the field and not the display name if you have changed the column name.  They can be different in SharePoint and the table shaping formulas use the original name.

    Thank you for your reply.

I tried single and double quotes.

My datasource is an other table in dataverse and it's the original name of the field.

Is the column "Statut mission" a choice column? Because if so then you need to address it appropriately. Another workaround I found for Dataverse in PowerApps is using the "in" operator (it is delegable), so you could also try to filter by

    "Active" in 'Statut mission'

    It's a text column.

I tried but i have still the same error message. 😥

The error you are seeing is in the Update property of your datacard (that is because you deleted the text input and added the new combobox). The formula isn't underlined in red, I don't think that it has any errors.

When you see errors in app try clicking the small arrow next to the red circle with the X sign, it will take you right to the place where the error is.

Yes, indeed. I corrected it and there is no more an error message.

But i still have nothing in my combobox.

I tested this on my side and it should be working, only two remaining possibilities:

    1. I had to refer to both columns as they are named in Dataverse. So please try and change 'Status mision' with the name in dataverse (similar to how nommission appears).

    2. This might sound strange, but make sure you have data in the nommission column for the Active status.

    Hi @Ludo65

All inputs are valid ones in this post. Since you are using a text column then 'Status Mission'="Active" sufficient

    Can you validate the data?

Here is my test table and data which works fine.

    ShowColumns(Filter(Missions, 'Status Mission'="Active"),"crfb2_testname")

Can you verify the column name that you are trying to display?

    cr500_nommission or
