Unexpected Response Behaviior

I created a simple copilot using a simple Dataverse table for its knowledge source. The table has 6 columns, firstname, lastname, email address, organization, phone number and message. Of course, there are also the system columns such as the record name that the Dataverse adds out of the box.

When I do a prompt like "give me a summary of al the records created on a certain date" it works and it includes some data from the message column. But if I ask which records contain a certain word in the message column, it tells me there are zero records even though I know there are some records containing that word. I know the copilot is seeing the message column but for some reason it won't search the message column. Does anyone know why the copilot is displaying this behavior?

Hi DJ-26091853-0,

In General, when we specify the dataverse knowledge source directly to Copilot it provides response that are limited.

We need to customize more using Custom Actions or Custom Prompts to make it work better.

I have been trying using Custom Prompt using AI builder and it works extremely well. You can also try that approach which i given below. You can modify the prompts according to your requirements.
