Hi,

We have created a custom Copilot with the single sign-on enabled and deployed that bot to Microsoft Teams. It has been working very well over the last 6 months. All of a sudden, it started throwing the below error for the sample SharePoint-related prompt where the content is located. However, the same bot works in Copilot Studio and Demo Website.

Sorry, something unexpected happened. We’re looking into it. Error code: SystemError. Conversation ID: a:1NcuiUbcES9LAQqK6a29JftEJppglQPKQELFWS42bgylgrIXbQWpLNLrJbk6mFj1T0-WpDIqy6vhN7l4QjBcuoTlujMHbkzxx1uvjPHdsKA25_qi8vIZbQ0vLVZba. Time (UTC): 9/26/2024 6:10:30 AM.

One more change we noticed is sometimes getting randomly "AI-generated" content from Teams; earlier, this was not there.

Any help on this would be much appreciated?

Thank you!

It’s possible that the tokens being used by the bot for authentication with SharePoint have expired, or the SSO setup might require a refresh. If the authentication token is no longer valid, this could cause the bot to fail when trying to retrieve content from SharePoint.

The system might be falling back to using OpenAI’s generative content as a response if it’s unable to retrieve the specific data (e.g., from SharePoint). Check if the knowledge sources for your bot have changed or if Copilot has started to rely more heavily on AI-generated responses instead of your configured data sources.

    Thanks.

Are you using Teams SSO authentication with Manual authentication or Authenticate with Microsoft? It could be that your client secret must have expired
Please verify steps from below link

Thanks for all your reply. For me this issue got fixed automatically, after a couple of days. All you mentioned about setting up the SSO, which I did six months ago perfectly and it was running as well, and my client secret also was active, didn't get expire. Just to let you all know, my setup and configuration was all well, it got fixed automatically. Thank you!

Custom Copilot with the single sign-on is evolving fast with good updates to SSO and Authorization!
