Get website user login information within the copilot

Hi Team,

Could you please help in this.

We have created an agent in copilot studio and integrated into external website using iframe (embedded code).

agent will popup when user login into the website and we need to get those login details like (user email, username etc.) within the chatbot and we don't want to again prompt user to login within the bot.

Do we have any placeholder within copilot to get those details or is there any way to get those details within the bot?

Thanks

    pls try the following:
Pass user information dynamically via query parameters or custom context variables in the iframe URL.
Secure the data using JWTs or base64 encoding.
Retrieve and use the user information in Copilot Studio with Param() or Power Automate.

let me know if you need more details.

Did you ever figure this out?
I am looking for something similar.
As of now, I have added the authentication to my chatbot as a workaround, but I was looking if we can securely get data from website so that the user doesn't have to login again to chatbot.

    Hello,

if you would like to use the authentication made on the website to authenticate in the chat, you'd need to use a custom website channel + configure SSO. You can check out the tutorial here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-copilot-studio/configure-sso?tabs=webApp. There's a code snippet to omit the login message.

In case of any other questions, let me know. If the answer helped you, mark it, so that others can benefit from it.

    Best regards,

    Hi @SaiRT14.,

Could you please share the code or configurations in Azure and the Copilot Studio? I’ve followed all the steps outlined in the document, but the login message still hasn’t disappeared.

    Thanks for your efforts!
