Dataverse Tables not visible in PowerBI

Hi community

Some custom tables of my power platform environment are not visible in PowerBI Query.

For example "mag_budgetposition"

What I tried:

- Connect with different accounts (both are Environemnt System Admins)

- Cleared all data source permission in PowerBi

Any ideas?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi @carl1to

May I know how are you connecting to your environment from Power BI?

Hello, @carl1to, are you using the Dataverse connector or the Legacy CDS connector?

    @Pavan_Mani_Deep , @AhmedSalih
Thank you for your reply. I'm using the Dataverse connector

TDS is set up for the environment in question. I think, otherwise I wouldn't get any tables:

    Hi @carl1to

I wrote a blog post on how to connect to your Dataverse instance using SQL

    https://ecellorscrm.com/2023/08/09/connecting-to-your-dataverse-instance-to-run-sql-queries-without-using-xrmtoolbox/

Can you try this way and see if you were able to see those tables?

    Hope this helps…

    Thank you for your recommendation.

But it feels strange, that the native Dataverse connection should not work when Dataverse is literally THE database of Power Platform!

After a few tryouts I finally found the solution:

Deactivate TDS of the environment and activate it again --> tables appears! (Microsoft Magic ;-))
