Required license for "Dataverse Copilot" inside canvas apps?

Hello community,

At the end of last year, we got our first touch into Power Apps / Dataverse Copilot that can create apps and also answer questions about data. It seems that the "Copilot component inside canvas apps" is still only available in US environments (if someone has a clue when it's available in all regions that would be appreciated!)

My question is regarding the licensing regarding the "Copilot component" as seen in this screenshot:

When it's generally available, will it be a premium "component"? Can it be used without Power Apps per app / Premium license? What is the minimum license required for it?

Thanks in advance!

Ville

    If you follow the walkthrough here: Add Copilot control for canvas app users - Power Apps | Microsoft Learn it requires that you point the component at a Dataverse table. So yes, it is a Premium feature and will require a Premium license or a per App license.

    @VilPel

    I am not sure about the timeline for other regions. Given this features are still in preview, i would create the env in US region and experiment with functionality.

    As of now its not promising though. Hopefully we will get more updates in Apr 2024.

    Based on recent release plan, we will get some more updates in Apr 2014 which can give us better indication about licensing.

    Microsoft is currently recommending people to buy Power apps premium license, I think this should support copilot features within Power Apps.

    Contact your licensing partner or Microsoft licensing person for the latest updates?
