Hi

can anyone explain to me why sometimes it appears that I can reference column names just with their ‘name’ but other times I have to reference the schema name?

for example TASKNAME appears to sometimes work but other instances I need to reference “cre60_taskname”?

it seems to be when adding a Dataverse table to a collection as when I view the collection I can see both sets of columns? When I want to patch back I seem to have to reference the schema name rather than the actual column name?

Just wondered the reasons if there are any?

I have the same question (0)

Hello, @jed76 , anytime you use the column name as an argument in a formula, you have to use the column name as a Text value which is the Logical or Schema name between the double quotations like, in SortByColumn function, you are passing the column to sort by as an argument. But if you are using the Column as an object like if you are using the ColumnName= Value, you will have to use the Display Name of the Column.

I’m slowly moving over my app from using a SP List to a Dataverse table for better security and performance. Do you know if there is an easy way to update a form? For example, when I change a firm’s data from the SP List to the DV Table, I seem to have to add a new field each time rather than simply updating the existing one?

@jed76, unfortunately there is no way to do that. Even if you are using the same data source, if you change the table from one Dataverse table to another Dataverse table, it will prompt you to replace the data cards. Then you can add those you need. The automatics replacement, will add the Primary Name column and CreatedOn column only.
