Where are My Apps

I created a Power App form from a SharePoint list and saved it. I cannot find it. The only way I can find it is to go into SharePoint, to my SharePoint list, and create a custom app again. Then my saved form comes back up. When I go into the Power Platform Admin center, I see no environments. When I go into Power Apps Admin center, I see one app named "Solution Health Hub", which I am guessing is a default app that was created as a sample. Is there something we need to do to allow us to see Power Apps and workflows that we create?

    Hi @Greg27 ,

As I mentioned in my first reply, the SharePoint form is a little special with other apps created in PowerApps. Although SharePoint form is created in PowerApps, it is the real function in SharePoint indeed. If you had used SharePoint on-premise, you will know the InfoPath. Here, PowerApps is just an tool to edit/create SharePoint form like InfoPath. You cannot share this SharePoint form to others or publish, since SharePoint form is based on a SharePoint list/library. There is no point in taking out a SharePoint form on its own.

So if you want to make sure if you have created the form, SharePoint provides the way. You can go to list/library settings > Form settings to check the results. By default, SharePoint use the default SP form:

Besides, for your second question, do you have a M365/O365 license(with PowerApps service plan) or a PowerApps full product license? Since PowerApps and SharePoint need different licenses.

    Best regards,

    Allen

    Re: Where are My Apps

    Allen,

In addition to my previous questions, I did some research and found that Microsoft says the following: "Power Apps automatically creates a single default environment for each tenant, which is shared by all users in that tenant". However, we have 1 tenant, but if I go to the Power Platform admin center, it says "No environments were found" and I am at least a SharePoint Administrator. I should have the correct permissions as I can login to the Power Platform admin center and the Power Apps admin center.

    Re: Where are My Apps

    Allen,

Thanks for the response. Yes, this is the way we created the form and access the form. However, I don't like the fact that I cannot see the form anywhere, though not sure if we created the form in Power Apps, we would be able to see it anyway. What is the preferred method, as I am sure it doesn't really matter much which way you do it since it will work? If there is no preferred method, what would you and other seasoned developers do? Create the form from the SharePoint list within SharePoint or in Power Apps, create a new form and connect it to the list? I's guessing there are benefits and drawbacks from doing it each way, I am just not sure what those are. Thoughts?

I believe we have the correct license, I am guessing that we have to create an environment and nobody has done that yet. Just not sure how it is allowing us to do anything with no environment created. If you can create apps with no environment, what is the point to creating one?

    Re: Where are My Apps

    Hi @Greg27 ,

Are you creating the Power App Form from below location?

    v-albai-msft_0-1614241832761.png

Is yes, actually, this SharePoint form is a little special with other apps(although it was created in PowerApp). If you customize the form for a SharePoint list, the form doesn't appear as an app in Power Apps admin center or Power Apps Mobile. You can open the form only from the list for which you created it. For more information about SharePoint form, you can refer to this article.

If you create an app in SharePoint from below location or create an app in PowerApps Studio, after save them, you can see your apps in the PowerApps admin center(in the environment they are preserved to).

Besides, about why you cannot see environments in Power Platform admin center, I think you should make sure if you have a right license.

    Best Regards,

    Allen
