Does Note Attachment now count toward Database capacity, or File capacity?

Previously at a point of time I remember Note Attachments are count toward database only capacity, while regular File attachment is counted toward File capacity.  However I cannot find anything refer to it.

According to https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/capacity-storage

  • File and database: The following tables store data in file and database storage:
    • Attachment
    • AnnotationBase
    • Any custom or out-of-the-box table that has columns of datatype file or image (full size)
    • Any table that is used by one or more installed Insights applications and ends in - Analytics
    • WebResourceBase
    • RibbonClientMetadataBase
  • Log: The following tables are used:
    • AuditBase
    • PlugInTraceLogBase
  • Database only: All other tables are counted for your database including the Dataverse search index

I noticed there is a "AnnotationBase" table on the File capacity category, but found no information on what "AnnotationBase" table is.  Given Notes table is "Annotation", is "AnnotationBase" for note attachment now?

If not, anyone know if Note Attachments are now counted towards File & database capacity, or database only capacity?

    Hi @daniuosagi ,

This is File storage that is used for the attachments.  See clip below from the January 2023 Dynamics 365 licensing guide...
