Hi, I am developing in Access. I typically build tables in Access, build forms, queries, reports and then test and refine. I then export the tables to Dataverse to use as the data sources using Access forms as the front end (split database configuration). Virtually all my users will do their work on desktop machines. I send the users the Access ACCDE database file that they load on their machines. The main downside to this is that when I update the App's I have to send new files to replace the old ACCDE files.
I was looking at building Model Driven apps to bypass this process. Unfortunately, I find the learning curve far more involved than using Access. The same goes for complexity. I find Model Driven apps far too complex to easily and rapidly develop apps, as opposed to Access, which is more developed and much faster database dev tool. That said, I don't mind learning Model Driven forms but after an entire Dataverse table was deleted by deleting a single data row, I am hesitant to use Model Driven forms and Dataverse for that matter. I want to set up an SQL server, but my organization wanted me to try to exploit their full 365 Power Apps license. Is there a way to automatically backup Dataverse tables on a daily basis?
