How to share canvas app across different tenants?

Hello,

I need to know how to share the canvas app across multiple tenants,
Our company has multiple tenants examples A, B, and C., there is a canvas app which data source is an excel sheet hosted in sharepoint in tenant A.
tenant B and C users also need to access the app, but the data source is stored in tenant A.

One solution is to replicate Datasource and app in each tenant, but other than that can anyone suggest a solution to share the app across tenants A, B, and C?

The users from tenant B and C has to be a guest user in tenant A and there will be no problem for them to access the app and the data source. Of course, the users from tenant B and C need to have O365 license either on their tenant or on tenant A.

It is recommended to use security group for app users and for Excel file sharing.

Based on the issue that you mentioned, do you want to share app with the users in another tenant?

Could you please share a bit more about the scenario?

Currently, within PowerApps, there is no direct way to share an app with external users outside your Org (There is no direct way to share an app from one tenant to another one).

As an alternative solution, you could consider add these users as Guest users into your Azure Active Directory tenant. Then you could share app from your tenant to these Guest users (from another tenant).

The guest user must have a Power Apps license assigned through one of the following tenants:

The tenant hosting the app being shared

The home tenant of the guest user

So make sure that the other users in another tenant have license for Power Apps.

yes i need to share a canvas app across multiple tenants, data source is excel sheet hosted in sharepoint.
Do I have to grant access to excel fill for guest users?

go to the file in sharepoint, right click on it or press three dots … . Go to Manage access and add the users / groups you want to share with.
