Virtual Table based on Dataverse from another Environment

Hi,

I have a requirement to surface a Dataverse table in an environment where the source is another environment to allow me to build a relationship within my model.

I can add this as a data source in my canvas app (but it won't be related in the model), alternatively I can utilise data flows but I'd rather not duplicate data sets.

Virtual tables sound like they'd be sufficient however they only appear to be available for SalesForce, SharePoint and SQL Server. I've attempted oData but no joy.

Has anyone came up with a solution that isn't data flows?

Many thanks

A workaround I could think of is to manually setup\create a "duplicate" of the table in your environment. Then use Dataflows and Power Automate to keep the 2 tables in each environment in sync.

So I believe this deals with a 'master data' concept, referencing other database/environment data for source info.

Perhaps @ChrisPiasecki can provide more insight, but it's a problem without a great solution.

Your problem will be integrating that data into your data model, otherwise if it's simply referential - you could use a canvas app or Power BI report to bring data from different environments into one screen. Dataflows works, but like you said, it replicates all the data.
