Hi,
I've started the training for PL-100 and I have been following the exercises https://learn.microsoft.com/en-gb/training/modules/get-started-with-powerapps-common-data-service/4-import-data-into-your-database
I'm trying to load data from SharePoint into a table in Power apps however I am stuck and cannot get past this part (screenshot attached). I don't know what to do, can someone please help?
Kind regards,
Shaan
Did you manage to overcome the issue?
Kind regards
Gulshan
Hi
I recall other people also having similar issues in the past in another forum but unfortunately i can't recall what the outcome/solution was.
Are you able to create new environment in power platform admin centre? If yes, you could start afresh there.
Alternatively, try naming is slightly differently i.e. instead of naming it 'Species', name it 'PetSpecies' so that the schema is different from the previous one you created.
I know it's not a solution but a workaround but at least this will keep you going.
Hi,
I stupidly deleted my table and tried to do everything again however it seems this has caused even bigger problems. What do I do to fix this? Why hasn't the existing schema deleted along with the table I deleted?
In the Power Query screenshot you attached (back.jpg), please remove all the other columns there by selecting the column and pressing 'Remove Column' button in the ribbon (or right click and then choose Remove Column) so that ONLY four desired columns remain (Title, PetSpecies, Breed and AppointmentDate only) - Your Power Query Screen should look just like the screenshot provided in the Step 7 of the exercise.
I have followed the instructions in the exercise and I didn't encounter any problems when I only kept the four columns that I needed.
Please let me know if that helps. Good luck!
Kind regards
Gulshan
Sorry, been mad busy at work today.
I will try to do that exercise myself to see if I can replicate the error. In the mean time, you could try deleting the newly created table and start afresh to see if the error is repeated (repeatability test).
Hi how should I proceed? I cannot establish the error as there doesn't seem to be any duplicates. I'm struggling to complete the other exercises in the MS-100 training because they all rely on the pets data being imported into the dataverse.
Please help @gulshankhurana
Hi,
I can't see any duplicate column names which is why I'm confused as to why it won't work.
Thanks for sharing the screenshot. Unfortunately, it doesn't show all the columns. Please could you check all the columns and see if there's any duplicate column name as indicated by the error.
Here, please take a look at the screenshot attached.
Hi
The SharePoint list seems to contain duplicate column names. Please could you press the back button and check if there are any columns with same name (disregarding whether they are case sensitive or not). Please could you share the screenshot of the Power Query screen where all columns are visible.
Thanks.
