Connection not configured for this service error for new users

Hi Folks,

I'm receiving reports from users where they are receiving "connection not configured error"  first time they log in to the canvas app. It does not show up afterwards. The app is shared via Azure AD group and the group contains 15K members. The groups is also given basic user access to the environment (basic user is given organization level access to process table).

The Error message is: FlowName: Connection not configured for this service.

Happens to the first flow that app tries to call. The other flows will not be called unless the initial flow works.

When I say new users, not newly added users to Azure AD group. All users are already part of the group. Set of users are being advised to use the app in an iterative manner. But when they first open the app, they receive this error.

Any insights on this will be helpful.

Thanks.

    Hi @rbn_nue ,

I also met this same error before, and the possible way you can try is to edit this canvas app again, remove the mentioned power automate flow in your reported error message and add this flow back to app. Then you need to save and publish the app. After this, error will not show up again.

This error shows up because the specific flow was changed or edited, every time you change the flow, you need to add it once again to the canvas app to avoid this issue.

This solution worked for me, hope it work for you as well.

    Best Regards,

    Hen Wang

    Hi @rbn_nue

Could you please try the following way to see if it works?

    1. Navigate to Power Apps Admin Center

    2. Selected the Environment you are working.

    3. Click on Settings on top bar.

    4. Go to User + Permissions > Security Roles

    5. Under the Security Roles, find the Basic User role, click on ellipses (...) > Edit

    6. Under Customization tab >> Select Process >> assign Read access to the Organization:vpeijunzmsft_0-1682666409774.png

    Hope it helps.

    Best regards,

    Sylvia

    Hi @HenWang

Thank you for your suggestion. I will try this out. Although, please note that all users are not affected by this issue. Only new users seems to be affected.

    Thanks.

    Hi @v-peijunz-msft

Thank you for your suggestion. But, as I have mentioned in the initial post, the Azure AD group (or team in power platform) which has all the users, is already given basic user access to the environment and I had updated basic user permission to enable organizational level read access to process table.

    Thanks.
