I have a PowerApps that is linked to a SharePoint list and I am trying to update the items in that list via patch. I had successfully completed the list creation and form integration and the PowerApps was working fine. One day out of the blue the PowerApps stopped working and I started getting the error "Network Error when using Patch function the requested operation is invalid".
I have attached a screenshot of the patch formula i am using.
Clear the cache of the browser or try the same in incognito mode. I know it is a baseless solution but believe me it should eventually work. Or if you will try the same tomorrow, it would work fine. I have faced this many a times.Thank you.
Tried the above solution still facing the same issues. Also, tries in 3 different systems no luck there as well. Thanks for the help anyway!
Try removing the List from your data sources, and then add it back in.
Why are you patching a form instead of using SubmitForm function?
Tried refreshing the data source which i think does the same, removing and adding is basically reverting all changes done in the form and is the last and worst case scenario for me as it is pretty much same as creating a new list. Thanks anyway for the tip will let you know if it comes down to this.
Tried that as well as you can probably see in the commented formula. Getting the same error as before. Thanks anyways!
You should be using the submit form function so please show me the error when using that?
Refreshing the data source is NOT the same. I have seen instances with SharePoint Lists where if the List structure has changed, it breaks the app. The only way I've been able to fix it is to remove the list and add it back in.
As you see above the submit form function is giving the same error as patch function.
I feel that you are on to something if refresh is not the same as removing and adding. What i fear is that the form that is linked to the SharePoint list might lose its structure and validations if i try to do so, anyhow will try try your solution and let you know. Thanks for the help!
